Gas Flex Connectors

Gas connectors come in 3 basic sizes and are application specific.

3/8" are used for standard dryer hook-ups

1/2" are used for standard water heater hook-ups

15/16" are used for standard range hook-ups

Make sure that your gas supply line is the correct size for your application.

Flexible Gas Connectors

Flex Connector Hook-up

Turn off gas supply to house then make sure that the area where you are working is VERY WELL VENTILATED. Remove the old connector and make sure that you are replacing with the same size as the old connector.(Note that some old connectors had similar size but with different threads that may seem to seal but may not.)  CHECK WITH YOUR LASCO DEALER TO BE SURE.

The direct connection of the flex line will not require pipe joint compound or teflon tape. After replacement of your gas flex line turn on gas and check for leaks with a gas leak detector fluid.

Gas Valves

Gas valves are used at the appliance so that you do not have to turn the gas off to the house.

Inline Gas Shut Off Valve

Use pipe joint compound of teflon tape for this type valve.

Appliance Gas Valve with Flare Fitting

Use pipe joint compound of teflon tape for the pipe side of this type valve. The flare end requires no pipe joint compound of teflon tape.
