KITCHEN SINK STRAINER INSTALLATION


1. Thoroughly clean around drain opening in the sink. A putty
knife may be useful in removing old putty from around the drain
opening.
2. Apply a bead of plumbers putty around the drain opening ap-
proximately 1/2" from edge of opening.
3. Remove the nut and washers and place sink strainer
body through opening in sink.
4. From the underside of the sink, place the rubber washer and
thin metal washer over the threads on the sink strainer body.
Screw the large nut onto the sink strainer body and secure
it against the washers.
5. Complete the installation by further tightening the large nut
with a spanner wrench or using a screw driver and hammer
to tighten the nut.
6. Remove the excess putty from around the top of the strainer
with a soft cloth.


INSTRUCTIONS POP-UP DRAIN


1. Remove stopper from strainer tube.
2. Place bead of plumber's putty around bottom flange of the
strainer tube and place strainer lube In opening of lavatory.
3. Place rubber washer (beveled side up), fiber washer and locknut on strainer tube. Apply plumber's joint compound to lower threads on strainer plug.
4. Completely thread pop-up drain tee with ball lever assembly on
strainer tube with ball lever towards the back of the lavatory.
5 . Tighten the locknut on the strainer tube.
6 . Tighten ball lever nut.
7. With ball lever rod In the down petition, place the (topper In the strainer tube. Hook over portion of ball lever rod protruding into the
strainer plug by turning stopper.

8. Place upper lift rod through lower lift rod and tighten set screw.
9. Place ball lever rod through proper opening In lower lift rod and
adjust spring clip to hold tower lift rod In place.
10. Adjust assembly for maximum opening by raising or lowering lift
rod. It lift rod will not stay up, lighten the ball lever nut Installation is now complete.





 

Drain Repair

P-trap

REPLACING TYPICAL SINK TRAP
1. Remove nut and washer on "J" bend and tube section.
2. Place the nut and washer on the tailpiece.
3. Attach "J" bend to sink tailpiece.
4. Place flange on tube section.
5. Attach tube section to wall drain connection. Adjust tube
section to meet with the "J" bend,
6. Tighten both nuts hand tight. It is not necessary to tighten the
nuts with a wrench if a proper connection has been made.

1. Remove nuts and washers from tee.
2. Place nut and washer on inlet tube.
3. Slip inlet tube into tee , tighten nut to make seal.
Hand tighten nuts as it is not necessary to tighten nuts with
a wrench if proper connection has been made.

Center outlet drain

CONTINUOUS WASTE INSTALLATION
Center Outlet
1. Remove nuts and washers from twin elbow.
2. Place nuts and washers on inlet waster tubes.
3. Slip inlet tubes into twin elbow, and tighten nuts
to make seals. Hand tighten nuts. It is not necessary to tighten
nuts with wrench if proper connection has been made.

 

Disposal and Dishwasher Installations

DISHWASHER BRANCH TAILPIECE INSTALLATION
1. Attach dishwasher branch tailpiece to basket strainer.
2. Attach "J" bend of trap to dishwasher branch tailpiece. A wrench may be necessary to remove nuts before installation but it is not necessary to tighten them with a wrench
if proper installation has been made. Hand tighten the nuts.
3. Connect line from dishwasher to branch inlet. There are two
styles of branch tailpieces, one has female hose threads so
that dishwasher hose may be threaded on, the other has no
threads and a gear clamp must be used to install the dishwasher
hose.
DISPOSAL DISHWASHER INSTALLATION
1. Your disposal should be equipped with a dishwasher
connection.
2. Use a hammer and punch to remove the plugs inside the
disposal dishwasher connection.
3. Attach your dishwasher hose to the disposal dishwasher connection using gear clamp.
DISPOSAL INSTALLATION

1. The knockout plug must first be removed from the
dishwasher inlet on the garbage disposer. Do not leave
metal slug In disposer.
2. Proper size threaded pipe nipple must be screwed into
knockout hole of the garbage disposer.
3. Attach dishwasher disposer connector to pipe nipple.
4. Cut connector, If necessary, for proper fit as illustrated.
5. Use clamp to tighten connector to nipple.
6. Clamp opposite end of connector to dishwasher drain

 

Bath Tub

Bath Tub Overflow

1. Remove screws from face plate.
2. Pull out old face plate with bucket and
wire assembly attached.
3. Crimp bucket on to wire assembly.
4. Match length of new bucket and wire
assembly to that of old assembly.
5. Fasten to face plate handle and replace.
